Accardi & Mirda, P.C. is a professional corporation established for the practice of law with offices in Parsippany, New Jersey.

Accardi & Mirda, PC was founded in 2004 by its then partners, Joseph S. Accardi, Anthony J. Accardi and Cristina A. Mirda. It is the successor firm to Litvak & Accardi which was founded in 1986 by Joseph S. Accardi (1959-2024) and Michael I. Litvak (1959-1990).

The partners are licensed Attorneys in the State of New Jersey and are admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New Jersey, the United States District Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. Cristina A. Mirda is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney and is also a Qualified Civil Mediator in accordance with R. 1:40.

At present the Firm is engaged in the practice of law in a number of fields. Our firm handles and is experienced in the following areas of practice: personal injury litigation, insurance defense litigation for commercial, surplus and personal lines, insurance coverage issues, representing businesses in all aspects of their operations, representing municipalities under Title 59, municipal court matters, real estate transactions, and extensive estate planning.

Both Anthony and Cristina are experienced trial attorneys with 35 plus years of experience. They represent and advocate for their clients, as if they were family. Both of them are dedicated and relentless advocates who work tirelessly for their clients. They are driven and aggressive in ensuring just results for their clients, and their verdicts support that.

Cristina A. Mirda, Esq.



Cristina Accardi Mirda is a partner and owner of Accardi & Mirda, P.C. Cristina is certified as a Civil Trial Attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey, as well as a Qualified Mediator as per R. 1:40. For the past thirty-four years, Cristina has been engaged in complex litigation with a primary emphasis on trial work in multiple areas of the law. Cristina provides her clients with exceptional and trusted legal services in various fields, including representing insurance companies and their insureds in litigation and coverage issues; representing businesses in all aspects of their operations, including contracts, compliance, transactions, negotiations, and dispute resolution; representing warehousing and transportation/trucking clients; municipalities and defending them under Title 59. In addition, Cristina is also experienced and well versed in estate planning and assists individuals in preparing for their future, to ensure that loved ones are provided for and assets are protected.

Over the past thirty-four years, she has tried multiple complex cases to verdict. Cristina is also on the Court approved list to act as Mediator in Probate and Estate cases out of the Superior Court in Morris County. She has served as a mediator on countless cases, as well as participating in multiple mediations to resolve cases with substantial exposure to which she was either defending or prosecuting.

Cristina represents her clients with professionalism in all matters whether substantial or modest, complex or simple. The foundation for her success is composed of hard work, perseverance, and a highly developed understanding of the law and strategy. Cristina has taken her intelligence, experience, and skills and successfully applied them to problem solving for individuals and businesses in a variety of settings and to reaching just results with successful verdicts.

Cristina has served as a member of the Supreme Court Committee on Model Civil Jury Charges, the District VC Ethics Committee – Essex County, the Hudson County Civil Practice Committee, the New Jersey Defense Association, and the Coalition of Insurance Professionals. Cristina is a member of the American Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association, and the Hudson & Morris County Bar Associations, Transportation Lawyers Association, and has also served as an Instructor/Lecturer for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education.

Cristina graduated from the University of Delaware in 1988 and Seton Hall University School of Law in 1991.


Anthony J. Accardi, Esq.




Anthony J. Accardi is a partner and owner of Accardi & Mirda, P.C. For the past 38 years, Anthony has been engaged in complex litigation representing individuals who have been seriously injured as a result of slip and falls, motor vehicle accidents, constructions accidents and multiple other scenarios. Anthony provides his clients with exceptional and trusted legal services in multiple areas of the law. He has tried multiple complex cases to verdict, including wrongful death matters, dram shop issues, and complicated liability matters involving experts in the fields of engineering, accident reconstruction, orthopedics, neurology, and radiology, all with excellent results.

Over the past 38 years, Anthony has also represented insurance companies in complex liability and coverage issues, as well as municipalities defending them under Title 59. He also served as a Municipal Prosector for many years and currently represents individuals and tries cases in municipal court. Anthony is also a seasoned real estate attorney with expertise in all issues related to real estate transactions.

Anthony represents his clients with professionalism in all matters whether substantial or modest, complex or simple. The foundation for Anthony’s success is his devotion to advocating for his clients’ rights and obtaining just results.

Judge Carey brings fifteen years of distinguished service in the Superior Court - including seven years as the Essex Vicinage Civil Presiding Judge - and over two decades of experience as a practicing lawyer to his mediation and arbitration practice. He started his career in private practice in 1979 litigating a variety of civil matters and obtained the Certified Civil Trial Lawyer designation in 1987. He was named to the Superior Court Criminal Division bench in 2003 and transitioned to the Civil Division in 2006. In 2011, Judge Carey was elevated to Civil Presiding Judge, where he remained until his 2018 retirement from the bench. He has presided over both jury and non-jury trials involving a wide variety of disputes and has facilitated the settlement of hundreds of cases.

Judge Carey served as a Continuing Legal Education instructor teaching the New Jersey Civil Trial Preparation course. He participated as a volunteer judge for the Vincent Apruzzese Mock Trial Competition, and the Seton Hall and Rutgers Law School mock trial programs. During his judicial service, Judge Carey taught other judges at the Annual Judicial College, instructing them on a variety of topics, including the legal framework of LAD and CEPA cases, and the conduct of expedited civil trials. Additionally, Judge Carey was involved in the development of civil CJOP materials and served on the civil CJOP faculty.
